Julie S. Cannon

Dr. Julie S. Cannon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She previously held the same rank at Roanoke College (Salem, VA). Her research focuses on how mediated narratives influence attitudes toward health policies and intergroup support, particularly when messages involve ambiguous or contested group identities.
