Professor Julie Ratcliffe is an Honorary Professor of Health Economics within the Flinders Health Economics Group at Flinders Clinical Effectiveness, part of the School of Medicine and Population Health at Flinders University. She has held academic positions at Sheffield University, Brunel University, and the University of Aberdeen.

Her research focuses on health economics, economic evaluation, and clinical effectiveness. She has secured 29 research grants totaling over $16 million and authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers in journals like the British Medical Journal, Health Economics, and Social Science and Medicine, alongside a commissioned book (with John Brazier) and multiple book chapters.
Julie leads the Flinders Health Economics Group and chairs the Flinders Centre for Clinical Change and Health Care Research, a collaborative of 80+ members advancing evidence-based clinical outcomes.
