Julie Nguyen serves as an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Western Australia's Medical School, with additional affiliation to the Institute for Paediatric Perioperative Excellence. Her role focuses on advancing pediatric perioperative care through clinical research in anesthesia and emergency medicine contexts.

Her research program centers on Pediatric Anesthesiology, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Pediatric Sleep Medicine, employing rigorous clinical trial methodologies.
