Julie Maybee is a Professor of Philosophy at Lehman College, where she also serves as the director of the interdisciplinary Disability Studies Program. Additionally, she teaches in the Disability Studies Masters Program at CUNY's School of Professional Studies. Her academic work bridges 19th-century Continental philosophy, African philosophy, and Disability Studies, with a focus on how socially defined differences intersect with identity and knowledge.
