Julie Henderson

Julie Henderson is a Lecturer and the Undergraduate Coordinator & Advisor for the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at Wichita State University's Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and Management with minors in Spanish and French, followed by a Master of Arts in Spanish from Wichita State University.

Henderson is a certified professional translator by the American Translators Association. After graduating, she spent 24 years in Santiago, Chile, working in financial and legal translation for prominent organizations like Walmart Chile, Fitch Ratings, and HSBC Bank. Upon returning to the U.S. in 2011, she worked as an interpreter in Sedgwick County Courts and medical settings while completing her MA.

Her professional affiliations include membership in the Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honors Society and the Mid-America Chapter of the American Translators Association (MICATA). Henderson's extensive travels across South America and Europe, including Chile, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay, Mexico, France, Spain, and Great Britain, enrich her cross-cultural expertise.
