Julie Graziane

Dr. Julie Graziane is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Penn State University's College of Medicine. She serves in the Division of Adult Inpatient Services at the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute and is affiliated with the Penn State Neuroscience Institute. Her work focuses on mental health equity, voter access for psychiatric patients, and neuroscience education.

Research interests include examining barriers to voting among psychiatric inpatients, promoting health equity through civic engagement, and developing standardized competencies for neuroscience trainees. She has published in Academic Psychiatry, Community Mental Health Journal, and Psychiatric Services.

Recipient of the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching (2020 and 2024), Dr. Graziane emphasizes patient advocacy and ethical obligations in psychiatry. Her collaborations involve interdisciplinary efforts to address systemic barriers in mental healthcare.
