Julie Cho is a Senior Lecturer in the Graphic Design department at Otis College of Art and Design. She is a partner in the women-owned design practice Omnivore, co-founder of Thick Press (a publishing collective intersecting design and care work), and collaborator in The Slow Season with Katie Hanburger. Her work spans visual identities, exhibitions, and environmental graphics for institutions including MIT and the Venice Biennale.
- Education: BA in History/Sociology from Columbia University (1999), MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University School of Art (2007)
Julie’s practice emphasizes collaboration, with projects such as MIT’s Morningside Academy of Design identity, Symbionts: Contemporary Artists and the Biosphere exhibition design, and signage for LAX-it terminal. Her work is in the permanent collection of The Art Institute of Chicago’s Department of Architecture and Design.
