Dr Julie Burrows is a Researcher at the University of Newcastle's Department of Rural Health in Tamworth, Australia. With a background in molecular microbiology and a decade of experience in food safety and clinical virology research, she transitioned to rural health equity studies in 2004. Her work bridges quantitative and qualitative research paradigms, focusing on longitudinal tracking of allied health and medical graduates' rural practice outcomes.

Grants include a 2017 CEEHE-funded project on 'Yearning to Yarn' to develop culturally responsive clinical teaching frameworks for Aboriginal health students.
