Julie A. L. Adrian

Julie A. L. Adrian, D.V.M., is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP), University of Hawaii at Hilo. She holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Her research focuses on veterinary medicine, pharmacology, and the human-animal bond, including studies on complicated grief and PTSD related to pet loss, pharmacological interventions in animals, and the nutritional value of guava as livestock feed. She also investigates medical education innovations, particularly communication skills and experiential learning for pharmacy students.
