معرفی
Dr. Juliane Liepe is a Researcher and Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences in Göttingen, Germany. Her group focuses on Quantitative and Systems Biology, combining computational methods with experimental data to study proteasome pathways in immune response regulation. She joined the institute in 2017 after holding a NC3Rs David Sainsbury Research Fellowship at Imperial College London (2013–2016). She earned her PhD in Theoretical Systems Biology from Imperial College London in 2013, preceded by a Diploma in Biochemistry (2008) and Mathematics studies at the University of Potsdam.
Her research integrates bioinformatics, machine learning, and dynamical modeling to understand proteasome-catalyzed peptide splicing and its role in antigen presentation. Key contributions include algorithms for identifying spliced peptides and predicting their sequences. Her work has implications for immunotherapy and vaccine development against cancer and infectious diseases. She was awarded an ERC Starting Grant in 2020 to advance computational immunology approaches.
