Juliane Brandes serves as Professor of Music Theory and Deputy Department Head in the Department of Composition & Music Theory at Mozarteum University Salzburg since 2021, following her appointment as Senior Lecturer in 2019. Her academic career spans professorships at institutions in Freiburg, Dresden, and Hanover, with prior teaching roles in Freiburg, Karlsruhe, and Basel alongside freelance musicianship.
