Juliana Tappe Ortiz

Dr. Juliana Tappe Ortiz is an Associate at the GIGA Institute for African Affairs and a postdoctoral candidate at the University of Bergen (ERC WarEffects project, 2023–present). Her research focuses on political psychology in peace processes, political leadership decision-making, and emotions in conflict studies. She holds an MPhil in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford, a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Erfurt and Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, and completed a Summer Institute in Political Psychology at Stanford University.
