Juliana Sutanto is a Professor in the Department of Human Centred Computing at Monash University, leading the Digital Transformation Group and serving as Indonesia Lead for the Faculty of Information Technology. Previously, she held roles at Lancaster University (2015–2023) and ETH Zurich (2008–2015). She earned her PhD from the National University of Singapore in 2008.
Her research focuses on system design, user behavior analysis, and data governance, with emphases on disaster response decision-making, health information systems, and digital resilience. She has contributed to over 80 publications in top journals like MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research, and received the Informs ISS Design Science Award.
Current projects include frameworks for disabled stroke survivors’ health services in Indonesia and AI-enabled telehealth systems. She leads international collaborations and is Associate Dean (International) for the Faculty of IT since 2025.

Advising: Actively supervising PhD students in information systems. Grants include projects funded by Australian DFAT and Indonesian partners. Her work aligns with UN SDGs related to health (SDG 3) and resilient infrastructure (SDG 11).
