Juliana Mclaughlin

Dr. Juliana Mclaughlin is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Communication within the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education & Social Justice at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. Holding a PhD from QUT, she serves as Academic Lead (Research Training) and brings over two decades of experience in higher education. Originally from Manus Island, Papua New Guinea, Dr. Mclaughlin has established herself as a leading voice in Indigenous studies and decolonizing education frameworks.

Dr. Mclaughlin's research and teaching are deeply informed by postcolonial theory, critical race theory, and Indigenous standpoint frameworks. Her work focuses on decolonizing research methodologies, education systems, and institutional protocols, with particular emphasis on social justice, equitable development, and international education contexts.
