Julian Karsten

Julian Karsten is a Researcher at the Institute of Plastics and Composites, Technical University of Hamburg (TUHH). His research focuses on materials science and engineering, with particular emphasis on composite materials, additive manufacturing, and structural health monitoring. He collaborates on projects such as the Hopper initiative (2023–2025), developing sustainable lightweight vehicles, and studies multifunctional polymers through in-situ structuring of polymer morphology (2019–2020).
