Prof. Dr. Julian Jachmann is a Professor of Art History specializing in Architectural History and Theory at the University of Regensburg's Faculty of Philosophy, Arts, History and Social Sciences. He holds a doctorate from TU Berlin and habilitation from the University of Cologne. His research focuses on early modern architectural theory, municipal architecture (Augsburg/Nuremberg), and the intersection of humor/comedy with architectural form. He leads DFG-funded projects like 'Digital Morphology of Ornamentation' (with Bremen University) and 'Operative Mediality in Regensburg University Planning'. Active in academic networks, he chairs the International Society for Architecture and Philosophy (2016–2022).
