Dr. Detemple's research focuses on the intersection of behavioral economics and organizational economics, specifically measuring behavioral preferences, beliefs, and mental models within firms through field experimentation. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with real-world applications in finance and economics, emphasizing methodological rigor in experimental design and behavioral measurement.
He actively develops the Behavioral Measurement Toolbox platform to standardize incentivized behavioral experiments. Currently seeking Ph.D. students as early collaborators, he emphasizes practical implementation across diverse research settings while maintaining GDPR-compliant data practices.
As part of the multi-institutional research group, he collaborates extensively with Florian Hett, Michael Kosfeld, and other researchers to advance measurement methodologies and experimental protocols in economic decision-making contexts.
