Julia Watson

Professor Julia Watson is affiliated with the School of Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Her work focuses on interdisciplinary design projects that integrate cultural heritage, ecological sustainability, and community engagement. A notable achievement includes her research on the Subak irrigation system in Indonesia, supported by the Brown’s Faculty Fellowship, which explored coexistence of culture, conservation, and livelihood development.
