Julia Vermylen

Julia Vermylen, MD, MPH serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine (Hospital Medicine) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, with additional appointment in Medical Education. She maintains clinical practice at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is actively involved with the Center for Bedside Medicine, Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM), and Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS).

Dr. Vermylen has received significant recognition for her compassionate care approach, including the Nora Cooney Marra Compassionate Care Award from The Woman's Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Her work on simulation guidelines through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare has helped establish standards for healthcare education nationwide.
