She leads a team of over 60 researchers, advancing personalized therapies by integrating genetic data to predict drug side effects and optimize treatments. Her expertise spans pharmacogenetics, drug development, and clinical vigilance, with a focus on translating research into patient care.
Education: She earned her medical degree and doctorate from Goethe University Frankfurt, followed by habilitation in clinical pharmacology at Charité Berlin. Previous roles include Director of the Institute for Clinical Pharmacology at Aachen University Hospital, leadership at the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM), and a visiting professorship at the US FDA.
Research: Dr. Stingl’s work emphasizes reducing drug side effects via genetic profiling, particularly in depression, pain, transplant, and cancer therapies. She collaborates with the German Cancer Research Center and chairs the Pharmacogenetics Working Group for the European 1+Million Genomes Project. Her team operates the Clinical Pharmacological Study Center (KliPS), conducting early-phase drug trials.
