Julia Spix

Julia Spix is a researcher at the ZEW Research Unit Corporate Taxation and Public Finance and a PhD student in the Taxation Track of the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business (CDSB) at the University of Mannheim’s Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS). She joined the program in 2022, focusing on tax harmonization in the European Union and international tax planning.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (focus on Business Taxation and Tax Law) at the University of Mannheim
• Exchange semester at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico

Her research bridges corporate taxation and public finance, with a particular emphasis on EU tax harmonization and multinational tax strategies. She is affiliated with the ZEW Research Unit, contributing to projects related to fiscal policy and global tax frameworks.
