Prof Julia Simner is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Sussex, leading the MULTISENSE lab and Synaesthesia Research Groups. Her work focuses on neuropsychological aspects of sensory differences, including synaesthesia, misophonia, aphantasia, and autism-linked traits. She holds a PhD from the University of Sussex and has held academic positions at Edinburgh and Sussex Universities. Her research explores how sensory processing varies in individuals with atypical sensory experiences and aims to improve understanding and support for neurodivergent populations.
