Julia Rau serves as a Research Associate and Scientific Associate at the Faculty of Theology, University of Basel, Switzerland. She holds dual appointments with both the Bieler Professorship and the Professorship Pfleiderer within the faculty. Her academic work contributes to one of Europe's oldest and most respected theology faculties.
Her research interests span multiple theological disciplines:

- Practical Theology
As a doctoral student at the Faculty of Theology, she actively participates in the academic community that encompasses diverse theological fields from Old Testament studies to contemporary religious practice research.
Dr. Rau maintains offices at two locations:

The Faculty of Theology at the University of Basel publishes approximately one hundred scientific articles annually in renowned journals, including their own Theological Journal Basel (ThZ), founded in 1945.
