Julia Martini

Julia Martini is a Junior Professor for Psychiatric Diagnostics and Intervention at TU Dresden’s Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. Her research focuses on affective and anxiety disorders across life stages, particularly in women, children, and families. She leads the workgroup 'Maternal and Infant Health' and co-leads the 'Psychosocial Research in Paediatric Oncology Dresden-Leipzig.' Her work integrates epidemiological, clinical, and longitudinal approaches to study mental health in perinatal periods, pediatric oncology, and familial psychosocial factors.

Recent work includes examining anxiety disorders during pregnancy, postpartum bonding difficulties, and illness perceptions in pediatric cancer families.
