Julia Lynch

Julia Lynch is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Arts & Sciences. She holds a PhD from UC Berkeley and a BA from Harvard University. Her research focuses on the politics of public health, social policy, and inequality in Western democracies, particularly Europe. She co-directs the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Innovation and advises multiple institutes including the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and the European Studies Institute.

Her key works include Regimes of Inequality (2020) and The Unequal Pandemic (2021), exploring how political economies shape health disparities. She serves on editorial boards of journals like Comparative Political Studies and advises the WHO's European office.
