Julia Jonas

Dr. Julia Jonas is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Philosophy, Faculty of Human Sciences, Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg. She teaches courses in philosophical anthropology, ethics, phenomenology, and social philosophy, including seminars on Kant, Schopenhauer, and contemporary critical theory.

Her research focuses on phenomenology (Husserl, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty), ethical theory (Kant, Schopenhauer, Weil), and critical social analysis (Adorno, Marcuse, Barthes). She explores intersections between philosophy, psychoanalysis, and cultural critique.

Scientific awards include the 2003 Prize from the Lower Franconian Memorial Year Foundation for Science for her dissertation. She supervises theses across epistemology, metaphysics, and applied philosophy.
