Julia Green-Johnson

Julia Green-Johnson is an Associate Professor of Biological Science at Ontario Tech University, researching gut bacteria-diet interactions with immune function. Her lab investigates probiotic mechanisms, dietary fiber immunomodulation, and microbial signaling pathways.

With postdoctoral training at the Manitoba Institute of Cell Biology, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in microbiology and immunology, including Infection & Immunity, Advanced Microbiology, and Fundamentals of Microbiology.

Green-Johnson's work bridges basic immunology and applied health sciences, examining how gut microbiome components influence systemic immunity through in vitro and in vivo models.
