Julia Fleckman

Julia Fleckman is an Assistant Professor at Tulane University's School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Global Community Health and Behavioral Sciences. Her core faculty role involves teaching and research in public health, with a focus on maternal and child health, violence prevention, and community-based participatory research. She holds a Ph.D. (2017) and MPH (2012) from Tulane and Colgate University's B.A. (2007) in Political Science. Her academic experience includes roles as Research Assistant Professor (2018-2020) and Postdoctoral Fellow (2018).

Her research emphasizes the interplay between social determinants of health, violence prevention, and health equity.
