Julia DiBenigno is a Professor of Organizational Behavior at Yale School of Management, with a courtesy appointment in Sociology. She earned her PhD and MS in Work and Organization Studies from MIT Sloan (2016, 2014) and a BA in Psychology from Columbia College (2006), where she graduated summa cum laude as salutatorian.
Her research focuses on organizational ethnography, examining collaboration between professional groups, upward influence in hierarchical settings, and organizational change in high-stakes environments like military mental healthcare and hospitals. She employs qualitative methods such as observation and interviews to uncover tensions in workplace dynamics.
