Her research analyzes media's role in spatial construction, particularly through journalistic cartography and platform research. She employs qualitative methods to study how digitalization shapes urban spaces, focusing on "smart cities" in Europe. As part of her cumulative doctorate in geography, she examines the interplay between social processes, technologies, and spatial formations.
Current work involves examining representational practices in news maps and critical reflections on spatial contexts under the "Smart City" paradigm. Her lab/team is embedded within the University of Tübingen's Media Studies department, integrating media and urban mobility infrastructure research.
