Julia Bryant

Professor Julia Bryant is a faculty member in the Department of Physics at the University of Sydney, part of the Faculty of Science. She holds a PhD in astrophysics from the University of Sydney (2001), with research focused on high-redshift radio galaxies, galaxy evolution, and astrophotonics. Her work includes leadership in large-scale astronomical surveys like the SAMI Galaxy Survey and instrumental advancements such as the Hector spectrograph. Professor Bryant has secured significant grants, including from the Australian Research Council and NCRIS, and collaborates internationally on projects like the Widefield Spectroscopic Telescope (WST).
