Julia Bronnmann

Julia Bronnmann is an Associate Professor at the Department of Business and Sustainability, University of Southern Denmark. She holds affiliations with the SDU Climate Cluster, the Center for Sustainable Business Development and Policy, and the DBS Esbjerg unit. As Head of Studies for Environmental and Resource Management, she focuses on environmental economics, aquaculture, consumer behavior, and sustainable resource policies.

Her research explores eco-certification impacts, market integration of seafood, and consumer willingness-to-pay for environmental attributes. Notable projects include analyzing MSC-certified fisheries and the economic effects of structural funds in Germany. She teaches courses like Environmental and Natural Resource Economics and Advanced Environmental Management.

Bronnmann edits the Aquaculture Economics & Management journal and leads initiatives like the SAFEPLATE project (2024–2027), aiming to advance sustainable seafood systems. Her work bridges economic analysis with climate and environmental policy, emphasizing empirical methodologies like hedonic pricing and discrete choice experiments.
