Julia Breen is a Lecturer in Journalism at the University of Sunderland. With over 20 years of professional experience, she has worked as an on-screen journalist at ITV News, chief reporter at The Northern Echo, and contributed to national newspapers. At the University, she leads video journalism modules across undergraduate and postgraduate programs and teaches news writing and gathering skills to students. Her expertise spans broadcast and print journalism, with a focus on practical media training.
