Gary Ghioto

Gary Ghioto is a Lecturer at the Mayborn School of Journalism, University of North Texas, where he teaches news writing and public affairs reporting courses. He advises the NT Daily, the university's student newspaper. His professional career spans over two decades in print, broadcast, and online media.

Research & Professional Experience: Ghioto has extensive experience in political reporting, covering the New Hampshire presidential primary and government for The Boston Globe. He also specialized in environmental reporting at the Arizona Daily Sun, focusing on Indigenous communities like the Hopi Tribe and Navajo Nation. In broadcast, he served as News Director at New Hampshire Public Radio and reported for WMTW-TV and New Hampshire Public Television. His wire service work includes roles at United Press International and Reuters.
