Jules Salomone-Sehr is a Research Fellow at The Queen's College, University of Oxford. Their academic journey includes studies at École Normale Supérieure, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (BA Economics and MA Philosophy), École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (MA Economics), and a PhD in Philosophy from The Graduate Center (CUNY) and École Normale Supérieure. Prior to Oxford, they held a postdoctoral position at McGill University and the Center for Research in Ethics in Montreal.
Research focuses on ethics, philosophy of action, and social philosophy with a feminist lens, addressing agency and responsibility in unjust social structures. Key projects explore complicity under structural injustice and the burdens of agency in oppressive systems. Their work emphasizes how social contexts shape normative landscapes and moral accountability.
Teaching responsibilities at Queen’s include undergraduate courses such as 'General Philosophy,' 'Introduction to Logic,' 'Ethics,' and 'Knowledge and Reality.'
