Cecile Degiovanni is a third-year DPhil student in Legal Philosophy at the University of Oxford and holds the position of Stipendiary Lecturer at Hertford College. She is affiliated with Balliol College and the Oxford Law Faculty. Her research focuses on the ethical and legal dimensions of waiving fundamental rights, such as the right to life, privacy, and physical integrity. She explores whether individuals should possess the power to relinquish these rights without legal consequences.
