Judy Tyler

Judy Tyler is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Master of Science in Education (MSED) program at Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy (SESP). She has been teaching in the MSED program since 2019 while maintaining a 35-year career as a high school teacher of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Her roles extend beyond academia, including serving on the Board of the Illinois Council of Instructional Coaches (ICIC), mentoring Golden Apple Scholar Teachers, and leading instructional coach trainings through the Chicago Coaching Center.

Education: She holds an MS Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Illinois University and a BS in Biology from Western Illinois University. Her professional focus integrates classroom instruction with teacher development, emphasizing evidence-based practices in STEM education and instructional leadership.

Judy actively engages in community education initiatives, combining her expertise in science education with a commitment to fostering effective teaching methodologies through coaching and mentorship programs.
