Professor Judy Bradley is a Professor and Director of the Wellcome Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine at Queen's University Belfast's School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences. She also serves as CEO of iREACH Health, a project fostering innovation in Life and Health Sciences. Previously, she held roles at Ulster University and Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, specializing in physiotherapy and respiratory health.
Education: BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (1st Class, Ulster University, 1994) and PhD (The assessment of disability and handicap in adult Cystic Fibrosis, Ulster University, 1999). Research focuses on respiratory health, including bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, exercise rehabilitation, and clinical trial methodologies. She leads high-impact studies such as the NIHR-funded trial evaluating mucolytic therapies in bronchiectasis and co-leads the iREHAB trial on post-critical illness rehabilitation.
Her work aligns with UN SDG goals, particularly in advancing healthcare through clinical research. Awards include recognition for innovation in healthcare and contributions to COPD research. She actively participates in professional networks like the European Respiratory Society and chairs key steering groups (e.g., EXACT-CF TSC).
