Judson Turner serves as a Part-time Instructor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Georgia's School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA), leveraging his extensive background in Georgia state government including roles as Director of the Environmental Protection Division and Executive Counsel to Governor Sonny Perdue.
His educational credentials include:
- Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Georgia, where he served as Student Government Association President
- Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia
Mr. Turner specializes in water policy and environmental law, with deep expertise in environmental permitting, regulatory advocacy, and public policy development. His work addresses critical Georgia-specific challenges including agricultural water use, interstate river conflicts, and coastal marshland management, informed by his practical experience in state governance and legal practice.
