Juditha Wójcik is a Researcher affiliated with the Chair of Statistics and Econometrics at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU), within the Faculty of Law and Economics. Her work focuses on health economics, econometrics, and historical demographic analysis. She is particularly known for her research on long-term societal impacts of pandemics, leveraging large-scale census data.
In 2017, she won the CINCH Academy best paper award for her groundbreaking study on the 1918 Influenza Pandemic's lasting effects, published as part of the Essen Summer School in Health Economics. This research employed advanced econometric techniques to analyze 117 international census datasets, contributing to understanding historical health crises' socioeconomic ramifications.
