Judith Wenner

Judith Wenner is a Researcher at the University of Cologne's Department of Rehabilitation Gerontology within the Faculty of Human Sciences. She serves as Project Coordinator for the NRW80+ and D80+ projects. Previously, she held roles at Bielefeld University's Faculty of Health Sciences, focusing on epidemiology and public health. Her research emphasizes social epidemiology, health services research, diversity, and health inequalities. She earned a Dr. PH (2021) from Bielefeld University, following a Master of Public Health (2016) and a B.A. in Social Sciences (2013). She has conducted international fieldwork in Ghana, India, Belgium, and Germany. Her work addresses healthcare access for refugees, aging populations, and health equity through mixed-methods approaches.

Recent work highlights include quasi-experimental studies on refugee healthcare access and policy impacts, as well as methodological innovations in surveying institutionalized elderly populations. She actively contributes to global health equity debates and policy development.
