Judith Lavoie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at Université de Montréal, Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on legal and literary translation, with an emphasis on the relationship between legal language and translation, legislative bilingualism, and critical analysis of French translations of Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. She is currently studying the translational universe of 19th-century translator William Little Hughes.
