Judith F. Mangione is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at St. John’s University’s School of Education. With over 30 years of experience, she has contributed to teaching, staff development, and mathematics education research. Her work focuses on self-assessment methodologies, urban teacher challenges, and enhancing student engagement through after-school programs.

Research & Programs: Dr. Mangione directs In Addition: A St. John’s After School Mathematics Program, fostering mathematical confidence among students and parents through inquiry-based learning. Publications: Her work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing self-assessment in education and strategies to empower students as problem-creators and solvers. She has authored books on elementary math pedagogy and co-authored guides for teacher educators.
