Dr. Juan Rios is an Associate Professor and Department Chair at Seton Hall University's Department of Social Work and Public Administration. He holds a DSW from Rutgers University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with certifications in hypnotherapy, EMDR, and TEAM CBT. His research focuses on trauma narratives of Latinx migrant women, mindfulness interventions, and social justice issues.

His research explores trauma, migration effects, and masculinity through three active IRB projects: Community Care and Justice Values Assessment, Earn-to-Learn enrichment models for urban youth, and qualitative studies of summer programs.
Dr. Rios integrates virtual reality in social justice education and has developed community partnerships creating internship opportunities. He serves on university diversity committees and the NJ Chapter NASW Social Work State Delegate.
