Juan P. Wachs

Dr. Juan P. Wachs is an Assistant Professor in Purdue University's College of Engineering, Department of Industrial Engineering. He holds degrees in electrical education from ORT Academic College in Jerusalem, and earned both master's and PhD in industrial engineering and management with specializations in information systems and intelligent systems from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

His research spans multiple disciplines at the intersection of:

• Computer vision and machine vision technologies
• Robotics and teleoperation systems
• Human factors engineering
• Assistive technologies
• Healthcare support systems

Dr. Wachs previously worked at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev's Virtual Reality and Telerobotics Lab, and taught at ORT and Intel Colleges in Israel before joining Purdue Engineering in 2009.
