Juan Felix

Dr. Juan Felix is a Professor and Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, serving as Director of Surgical Pathology. He specializes in Anatomic and Cytopathology with board certifications in both areas. His clinical practice focuses on Gynecologic Pathology and Obstetrical & Gynecological Pathology, treating patients across all age groups. Dr. Felix earned his MD from Cornell University Medical College (1984), completed his Anatomic Pathology residency at New York Hospital (1985-1988), and an Obstetrical & Gynecological Pathology fellowship at Cornell University Medical College (1988-1989).

His research spans cervical cancer diagnosis/treatment, SARS-CoV-2 pathology, and molecular profiling of childhood cancers. Notable projects include analyzing cervical ablation therapy outcomes and investigating cardiac fibrosis mechanisms in severe COVID-19 cases. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles on topics like endometrial receptivity analysis and HPV vaccination impact.

Dr. Felix actively contributes to global health initiatives, including cervical cancer prevention programs in El Salvador. His work bridges clinical diagnostics and translational research, with recent emphasis on genomic sequencing tools for pediatric malignancies and improving SARS-CoV-2 detection methodologies.
