Ju Young Shin

Ju Young Shin is a Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Delaware, specializing in gerontological nursing, Parkinson's disease symptom management, and Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) caregiving. With methodological expertise spanning qualitative studies to meta-analysis, she teaches advanced courses in gerontological nursing and population health while practicing as a certified adult nurse practitioner.

Her research focuses on symptom management for neurodegenerative diseases and family caregiving challenges. Recent articles highlight trends in caregiver well-being, complementary medicine, and dyadic decision-making. Key journals include Western Journal of Nursing Research, Applied Nursing Research, and Journal of Gerontological Nursing.
