Joël Biard

Joël Biard is a Professor at the University François-Rabelais, Tours, and has held this position since 1999. He is also Senior Member of the Institut universitaire de France (since 2008) and serves as Director of the Research Federation of the CNRS, 'Fédération des Études Supérieures du Moyen Âge et de la Renaissance' (Tours-Poitiers), as well as Director of the Doctoral School 'Sciences de l’homme et de la société' at the University François-Rabelais. Additionally, he co-leads the Centre d’études supérieures de la Renaissance (UMR 7323) and chairs its Department of Philosophy.
