Joyce Westerink is a part-time Full Professor in the Human Technology Interaction group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), where she holds the Chair on Wellbeing and Psychophysiology. She joined TU/e in 2012 and has supervised numerous master's and PhD students. Concurrently, she maintains an ongoing industrial research career at Philips Innovation & Strategy since 1985, contributing to projects in personal care, media interaction, and brain-behavior studies.

Research Focus:
Her work bridges psychophysiology and technology, investigating how physiological signals reflect wellbeing (stress, arousal, mental balance) and developing unobtrusive measurement methods. Applications span:
