Dr. Joyce Chen serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Music at Delaware State University, where she teaches music courses, provides applied lessons, and coaches instrumental and vocal students. A Ph.D. candidate at Princeton University (Department of Music and Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Humanities), her research focuses on the intersection of science, music, and aesthetics in 17th-century Europe, particularly instrument making and theoretical mathematics. She completed a 6-month apprenticeship at Zuckermann Harpsichords International and is building her first harpsichord from a Troubadour Virginal Kit.
